Commercial Envelopes
Commercial Envelopes are often used for day-to-day business operations and correspondences. With diagonal seams and a standard commercial flap, these envelopes are designed to work well with machine inserters making them an ideal choice for direct mail, checks, invoices and statements. While typically manufactured with remoistenable gum seal, the most common sizes are available with self-sealing flaps as well.
Window Envelopes
Some commercial envelopes are stocked with standard windows. A standard window refers to this size and position on the envelope: 1-1/8” x 4-1/2”, 7/8” from left edge, 1/2” from bottom edge. Custom window sizes and placements can also be custom manufactured.
We stock many of these sizes that are ready for immediate imprinting. We also custom manufacture any of these sizes and custom sizes that are not listed here.
The most common size commercial envelope is the #10 envelope as it fits a folded 8-1/2″ x 11″ perfectly. We stock millions #10 envelopes with and without windows as well as with and without security tint. We also keep them stocked with standard gum seal, peel and seal and simple seal flaps.

Measures: 3-5/8” x 6-1/2”
Common uses: Fits personal checks. Used as tithe and offering envelopes, ticket envelopes, or return envelopes in fundraising mailings
#7 envelopes
Measures: 3-3/4” x 6-3/4”
#7-3/4 envelopes *
Measures: 3-7/8” x 7-1/2”
#8-5/8 envelopes
Measures: 3-5/8” x 8-5/8”
#9 envelopes *
Measures: 3-7/8” x 8-7/8”
Common uses: This is the most popular return envelope used in the mail. Fits perfectly into a #10 envelope and is used often as business reply and courtesy reply envelopes for the recipient to return information or payment.

Measures: 4-1/8” x 9-1/2”
Common uses: Most common envelope in the United States. Used for general correspondences, direct mail, corporate stationery and more.

Measures: 4-1/2” x 10-3/8”
#12 envelopes
Measures: 4-3/4” x 11”
